Unfortunately, sometimes the process to design and site a pipeline can take longer than the amount of time that is needed in order to actually construct a pipeline.
After route selection, easement negotiations, environmental permits, and multiple other pre-constructions projects have been take care of, that is when the construction phase can only begin.
Before burying the pipe, the pipeline right-of-way must be cleared and properly prepped for construction.
After all of these steps are complete, the pipeline is carefully set in the pre-dug trench, or placed under waterways or roads.
